
Onen Mathew holds an Honors Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies with a specialization in Peace and Conflict Management, and a Master’s degree in Sociology and Social Research. He has extensive field experience, having served as a Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Manager with a humanitarian organization, where he conducted research and assessments for three years in conflict-affected and flood-prone areas of the Upper Nile region, South Sudan.
Currently, he is an activist, political and social analyst, and freelance researcher with deep focus on forced migration, peacebuilding, education and displacement, social development, and informed policy discussions in South Sudan and beyond. His work focuses on promoting human rights, analyzing socio-political dynamics, and supporting evidence-based interventions in fragile and crisis-affected contexts.
